Recognition is a tool that allows you to recognise your employees, whether that be your top performers or saying thanks for more day to day activities.
Recognition is broken down into a few different sections. Recognition is the core of the product and is a newsfeed of activity where managers can give 'recognitions' their team or individuals within it, and employees can recognise each other as well. Polls allow employees to vote for a peer that fits the theme of the poll. Rewards can be attached to recognitions or polls that truly go above and beyond.
Rewards can take the form of gift cards such as a $200 Jetstar voucher for employees to put towards their next holiday, or custom rewards like getting to come in an hour late the next day and have a sleep in.
Companies can list their company values within the platform and tag recognitions or polls with these values. This reinforces value driven behaviour and creates a company culture that celebrates wins, big or small.

If your colleague has gone the extra mile or just been plain awesome and helped you out when you really needed it, make their day by sending them a positive thank you message via Recognition.
As an employee you can sometimes feel like you're a bit removed from management and they don't see the day-to-day little wins in your team. Recognition allows you to shout out your team members and get those achievements seen by management!
Your managers will occasionally set up polls, this can be for things like "employee of the week" or they might get more creative with the theme. Often they will tag a poll with one of the company values - so keep this in mind when you're choosing who to vote for!
Unless you yourself have voted in the poll, you won't be able to see who's in the lead or who has voted for you, so vote honestly and without worrying about who's already in the lead.
